It would have to become an official feature on PC to come Xbox. This may change the controller orientation on controllers other than the Vive wand. ago Works well, allies are green enemies are grey and neuts are white. Change the controller pose from raw to grip. sorry for late reply, I just woke up, friends are very green if you look at one of the screenshots and look at the station icon, enemies are either red, white or yellow, I don't fight much but you should be able to test it out on some small fries Jowenbra 7 yr. In the end, it boils down to "We didn't write the UI framework ourselves, we don't have the time or the skill to do it, we just painted the images and they are fixed. Changing the color on PC is done by (technically) modding the game. Add buttons to the controls panel to display SteamVR bindings information and open the SteamVR bindings UI for Elite VR Cockpit. However that would, you guessed it, require someone with proper coding skills. It COULD of course be compensated by making a colorless UI, then tint the images with a custom color and give those colored images to the UI code. If the colors should even change depending on actual logic, it's just not doable at all. If colors should be mixed, the combinations would explode into infinity. That in turn means you would have to create one set of GUI images for every color desired. Because it was easier for the lazy GUI developer guys to code. you cannot set color values for the UI elements to be rendered at all, but only finished images that are simply displayed. AFAIK, most games use something called "scale form" for their GUI. Usually, such things are done by some out-of-the-box solution already developed by someone else. However, that is not how software development works, usually. The fix they added in beta 5 attempts to pre-invert the colours before the transform is run, but depending on the values you have, that can just result in even worse outcomes. In a "properly written" software, such things are nothing more than setting a color value. The UI gets passed through a colour transform matrix before it gets displayed (if that makes any sense to you). No, seriously (smartass software engineer, here): Don't worry! They know the community wants colour blind support and GUI tweaking options, they just don't know how much to charge for them yet. ![]()
